About Us

Supporting Patient Flow for Healthcare in Canada and Operating Across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia Since 2005

company growthEstablished in 2003, Hospital Transfers provides post-admission, non-emergency patient transfer services and patient support to health authorities, organizations, and individuals across British Columbia. We are based in Abbotsford, BC, in our 10,500 sqft purpose-built headquarters consisting of dispatch operations, our training center, and fleet maintenance facilities.

Our reliable, safe, and efficient post-admission, non-emergency patient transfer services have resulted in savings of over $14 million per year for BC’s Health Authorities, identified by their internal audit department.

Our services are based on a very successful PTS (Patient Transfer Service) model developed in London, England, to provide an intermediate level of patient transfers for medically stable patients. These patients still require professional assistance and care, but do not require the presence of paramedics, and receive specialized transportation in purpose-built vehicles. Patients can be transferred by stretcher, wheelchair, or they may be ambulatory. They can also be escorted by family, or staff when required, to monitor medical equipment that cannot be disconnected during the journey.

Hospital Transfers has the established infrastructure and capacity to expand as more customers discover the convenience, ease, and benefits of using our patient transfer services across Canada.
