About Us: Quality & Safety

Reliability is an essential part of a safe and efficient service.

Our Induction & Safety Program was created at the outset to develop a comprehensive program to ensure crews have the tools required to avoid injury to patients or themselves during the patient transfer process. Our staff participates in BC Patient Safety & Quality Council (BCPSQC) seminars and in Patient Safety Officer courses conducted by the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI). The lessons learned from these committed organizations are applied to developing our internal customized training programs, ensuring not only that all crews are properly trained, but also that there is a continuing process as circumstances develop and change. Systems are in place to monitor all aspects of our operations and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Considerate   To patients and family members at a stressful time
Efficient The right vehicles, the right equipment, and the right policies
Compliant Meeting the requirements of relevant regulatory bodies and the hospital’s own protocols

Traffic Accident to Kilometres Ratio 1:373,268

In 2017, our vehicles travelled 2,612,874 kilometres (that’s to the moon and back three times!) on British Columbia roads and were involved in only seven minor accidents, without any significant injuries. Our low accident record allows us to enjoy ICBC’s maximum ‘No Claims’ discount of 54%.
